Just north of Copenhagen, Denmark, Dyrehaven stretches out as a large, open landscape — not a zoo, but a free-ranging area. home to around 2,000 deer. They move freely through grass fields and old oak trees, crossing paths with cyclists, runners, and families out for a walk.
The scale is generous. Long gravel roads. Open clearings.
Along the paths, especially after rain, large snails appear in the grass. Thick shells, slow movement.

At the edge of the park lies Bakken, the world’s oldest amusement park.
