

The Wooden Structure completed in the late 1950s, Once Carried Logs From The Forests To The Coast. Built For Work, Not For Visitors. Today, It Guides An Easy, Atmospheric Walk Through The Landscapes Of Vennesla in the south of Norway.
It Passes Through Tunnels And Over several Bridges. following the river closely as it moves through the valley.


In late summer, blueberries grow thick along the edges of the flume, offering small pauses and Sweet energy, straight from the forest.
with seasonal departures, the Setesdal Railway, with old wooden carriages, passes nearby. adding sound and motion to the walk. It is possible to walk the timber flume one way and then take the steam Locomotive back.

- start is recommended at Steinsfossen
- The timber flume is 4 kilometers long (the only one of its kind in Norway)
- sections may be partially closed or have restricted access during periods of repair work
